Our ever popular Modern Lettering workshop returns for the Kids Edition!
Discover a whole new way of looking at letters. Forget strict handwriting practice, this is all about reinventing your letters and bringing them to life using bright and versatile paint markers.
This is a fun, hands-on creative workshop, designed to set imaginations free. You’ll be introduced to 4 different alphabet styles - from quirky modern letters to comic-style bouncy characters - all in bitesized chunks, perfect to get a taster of each. With a small group size of maximum 9 participants, everyone will get plenty of guidance as needed and the gentle structure lets you explore the alphabets at your own pace.
The second half of the workshop is all about making things! Using the alphabets and tips you’ve just learned, you’ll get to choose from our magical basket of paper goodies to make all the paper-based creations you can dream up: cards, envelopes, posters, tags, bookmarks, artwork, signs… You’ll come away with a whole new skill set, ready to use in your everyday life, from gift and card making to journaling and art projects.
Suitable for ages 8+ and great for big kids alike!
The workshop will be taught by resident brush lettering expert Claire Coullon. With over 7 years of experience teaching workshops, she’s a local mother to 2 young children and co-owns kids' stationery brand Odd Goose. Fully DBS checked.
