Unlocking Your Creativity Talks - Friday 30th June 2023 6.00pm to 7.00pm

Join Athena and Claire for an evening of creative talks and inspiration.

As an artist, business owner and generally crafty person, creativity underlies everything that Athena does. In this talk she'll take you through her journey to opening Meticulous Ink, and showing you her framework to unlock and increase your creativity each and every day.

Outside of her work as presswoman at Meticulous Ink, Claire has been an independent hand lettering artist and logotype designer for nearly 15 years. Central to her work is the concept of translating analog lettering work to digital form, all while retaining its origins in the handmade. In this talk, she'll walk through some of her projects, showing initial sketches and conceptualising through to vectoring techniques and the meticulous art of fine-tuning. 

Each talk will be about 30 minutes, including time for questions. Tickets include a drink, light nibbles and a stationery goody bag.

Where: Walcot Chapel - just around the corner from our shop at 134 Walcot Street, Bath.

Is there an age limit for the talks?
Anyone can attend our talks, though unfortunately we do not allow children under 12. Those under 16 we do request are accompanied by an adult. Please do get in touch if you'd like to discuss. Please note that Athena does occasionally swear! 

What should I bring?
You don't need anything - we'll provide some refreshments and seating. We do encourage questions so please bring any along!

What are my transport/parking options getting to you?
There is parking in Bath in several locations - the nearest to us would be the Podium car park or the Cattlemarket car park. Train services to Bath Spa are very regular and the walk to Walcot Chapel takes around 25 minutes.

Cancellation Terms
Please ensure you can attend the event before booking, as tickets for the On Paper Festival are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are ill, shipwrecked, or unable to attend for any other reason, we are unable to swap your date, though you are more than welcome to find a friend that can take your place.

In the rare circumstance we are unable to run the event, your ticket will be swapped for store credit.
