In this workshop you'll create your own unique design using traditional lino printing. You'll begin by designing and carving your piece, then print from it with delicious lino inks. You can work in single block colour, or develop your technique to produce multi-layer prints. At the workshop you can print onto paper or card. You'll then take home your print, along with your lino cut so that you can make more prints when you get home.
This workshop is run by our crafting friends, The Makery, as part of the Meticulous Ink On Paper Festival, and will be held at Walcot Chapel - just around the corner from the Meticulous Ink shop on Walcot Street.
Is there an age limit for the workshop?
Anyone can attend our workshops, though unfortunately we do not allow children under 12. Those under 16 we do request are accompanied by an adult. Please do get in touch if you'd like to discuss.
What should I bring?
You don't need anything - we'll provide everything you need for using at the workshop, and you'll get to keep your cut lino for further printing at home. Though we don't anticipate any spillages, we would recommend you wear black, or dark colours.
What are my transport/parking options getting to you?
There is parking in Bath in several locations - the nearest to us would be the Podium car park or the Cattlemarket car park. Train services to Bath Spa are very regular and the walk to Walcot Chapel takes around 25 minutes.
Please ensure you can attend the workshop before booking, as tickets for the On Paper Festival are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are ill, shipwrecked, or unable to attend for any other reason, I’m afraid we are unable to swap your date, though you are more than welcome to find a friend that can take your place.
In the rare circumstance we are unable to run a workshop your ticket will be valid to book onto another workshop.
